BMW Group Plant Dingolfing is paving the way with its monitored raw material production. Relying on renewable green power to produce battery cells and increased use of secondary material reduces CO₂ emissions in the BMW iX supply chain by 17%, compared to the same vehicle produced without these measures.

BMW Group Plant Dingolfing is paving the way with its monitored raw material production of battery cells. The cobalt and lithium required for the high-voltage batteries are procured from controlled sources in Australia and Morocca; these are then manufactured using exclusively green power from certified sources.
By 2030, only green electricity will be used in producing BMW's fifth-generation battery cells, saving up to 10 million tonnes of CO₂.

BMW i. BORN ELECTRIC.
With electric driving comes exciting possibilities. That’s why BMW approaches this new era in mobility just like any other; where engineering, innovation and aesthetics come together seamlessly to inspire joy in every journey.
As the owner of a BMW i model, you'll experience electric mobility and opportunities that are second-to-none. Powered using electricity that is stored within the car's battery, the battery capacity of your BMW can determine its range and possible distance covered after one charge. The all new 'Max Range' Mode can be activated for additional 15-25% range. Easy home or public charging solutions are also available with BMW's charging partners.
Pure electric range for the BMW iX

^ At a high-power charging station, e.g. from the IONITY network, you can charge your vehicle with maximum vehicle charging performance. This is a DC charging process 10-80% state of charge.
*The BMW iX is a battery electric vehicle requiring mains electricity for charging. Whilst we recommend the battery for this vehicle is charged to 80% to help optimise the life of your battery, the electric range figure shown is the WLTP figure after the battery had been fully charged to 100%. WLTP figures are shown for comparability purposes. Only compare fuel consumption, CO₂, electric energy consumption and electric range figures with other cars tested to the same technical procedures. These figures may not reflect real life driving results, which will depend upon a number of factors including the starting charge of the battery, accessories fitted (post-registration), variations in weather, driving styles and vehicle load.
CHARGING TIMES & CHARGING CABLE.
With the purchase of your BMW iX, you'll benefit from numerous tailor-made offers for charging your electric vehicle at home and on the go. A Fast Charging Cable (mode 3) is included as standard, for public and home charging. Optionally available are a Flexible Charging cable (mode 2), which enables charging using a domestic three pin plug, and an AC Charging Professional cable for both home and on the go charging, that offers a maximum capacity of 22kW.
